Spurs owner Peter Holt is one of Gov. Rick Perry’s top contributors, giving his campaigns $537,440 over the last 10 years (as of August 10, 2011).
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Holt has donated $537,440 to Perry and his campaigns since 2000. That total ranks ninth among contributors to Perry’s campaigns and gives him legitimate status as one of the governor’s biggest hitters………
So it’s not a coincidence that the Texas governor frequently is seen roaming the bowels of the AT&T Center for Spurs games. Perry even greeted me with a Texas A&M “gig em’ ” hand sign before one game last year.
